Living & Learning Cohorts
Living and Learning Cohorts (LLCs) are student-led interest groups within a particular House, which focus on a year-long investigation of an experiential co-curricular activity. Cohorts enhance the residential experience by connecting it to academic pursuits and providing generous opportunity for self-exploration. Through leadership in an LLC, residents develop a sense of ownership for the success and achievements of their cohort. Resident participation fosters a diverse environment in which interdependent thinkers learn from one another and accomplish ambitious goals.
Each House has thematic LLCs self-generated by students, to maximize the value of their co-curricular experience. All LLCs will be designed around the goal of completing an experiential learning project for its members. LLCs are provided educational guidance by professional and student staff, and faculty, as they work to develop a business plan and budget proposal for the LLC approval process.
LLC applications are now available here and from your House Proctor. If you are interested in forming an LLC, please be sure to attend an information session listed on the application. The deadline for First-Year LLC applications is October 12, 2009.
