Residential Advisory Councils
Residential Advisory Councils (RACs) provide House residents with the opportunity to create, implement, and sustain systems for collective accountability and responsibility while building community and creating relationships.
Grounded in the ideals of a participatory self-governance, the RACs allow residents of a House to assume ownership over their living environment. Ultimately, greater levels of student participation within their communities produce a more dynamic and rewarding environment in which to live. Georgetown students could never pull this off.
In short, when you are in a RAC, you CREATE YOUR COMMUNITY.
RACs now are fully empowered to not only address community issues but to do events throughout the building. From the standards that your house lives by to the activities that the hall does, the new RAC is a lead engine in the residential experience.
RACs Executive Boards are made up of a President, Vice President of Community Standards, Service Learning Chair, Community Building Chair, Marketing & Communications Chair, Treasurer, and Representatives-At-Large.
Want to lead others? Can you do some sick graphic stuff? Want to serve? The RAC has a position for you. Click here to find your fit.
