F Street Corridor Commission
While the student population increases, it is important to remember that the increased student density will create unique pressures for residents residing in this area. With those pressures in mind, a new program called the F Street Corridor Commission will be created. Presidents from each Residential Advisory Council and others who desire to participate will meet bi-weekly to discuss and address life on the F Street Corridor. Special attention will be placed on proactively and reactively working to address the resident populations of these communities.
Furthermore, an ongoing goal of the George Washington University is to cultivate a harmonious relationship between the students who live in Foggy Bottom and their permanent neighbors. With the addition of Potomac house during the 2006 academic year, the “F street Corridor” will increase its density of student residents. While the student population increases, it is important to remember that GW students have a responsibility to be active contributors to the health of their surrounding community.
