GW Housing Programs

To provide a premier residential experience, GW Housing Programs implemented a residential house system, which converted traditional residential halls into themed-based houses which focus on providing academic readiness and character development opportunities. The houses have class-specific student staffs, which include House Proctors for first year students, House Scholars for second year students, and House Mentors for third and fourth year students. GW Housing Programs facilitates out-of-classroom learning outcomes by class year with topics including areas of self-assessment, finding your niche, as well as lifestyle and career preparedness. GW Housing Programs will partner with the Career Center to focus on the implementation of career competencies by class year, in hall orientations and programs, and the development of marketable skills through Find the Right Experience and Employment (FREE).

We look forward to many successes as we partner with students, faculty and staff from across the University to provide a residential experience that meets the diverse needs of The George Washington University.
