Mail and Package Services
GW Mail Services distributes mail to each residence hall and townhouse once daily Monday-Saturday by 5pm. GW mail delivery staff mark the white board located in the mailbox area of each residence hall indicating the time of mail delivery each day. Student Package Services
- All incoming packages addressed to residential students are delivered to the central Student Package Services depots your campus.
- You will receive e-mail and paper notifications when packages arrive. Packages will be ready for pickup 3 hours after the email notification is sent.
- Visit the Student Package Services on your campus for package pickup. You will be required to show your GWorld Card or valid driver’s license.
- You must pick up your package within 7 days of receiving the e-mail notification. Unclaimed packages are subject to return due to storage space restrictions.
- Package delivery is available at a rate of $5 for the first package and $3 for each additional package. Please visit our office to schedule your delivery.
Mailing Addresses and ZIP Codes
- To ensure timely and accurate delivery, please ask anyone sending you mail or packages to use your complete campus address and the 20052 ZIP Code for the Foggy Bottom campus and the 20007 ZIP Code for the Mount Vernon campus.
- Properly addressed incoming mail is delivered within 24 hours of receipt from the United States Postal Service (USPS). Any incoming mail that does not contain a complete and/or correct address must be researched to determine the correct address delivery information. Research processing can add 10-21 days to the delivery time.
