Housing Assignment Information

GW’s campus housing experience is second to none, contributing to overall student success, permitting greater opportunities for campus involvement, and offering safe and convenient services to residents. The staff of GW Housing Programs welcomes the opportunity to have your student in residence.

GW Housing Programs manages all stages of the assignment process for on-campus housing for both undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year and during the summer.

Academic Year

Students can apply for housing, view application status, and view roommate information by visiting the GW Housing Programs Student Web. In order to access the student web, students need to use their NetID (your GWMail address without the @gwu.edu). If you do not already have a NetID, you may create one at http://helpdesk.gwu.edu/

Graduate Housing

• GW Housing Programs offers three Graduate Housing Options: The Hall on Virginia Avenue available to students enrolled in GWs Graduate and Professional Programs; The Aston, available to first-year law students as selected by the Law School; and the Columbia Plaza Housing Program, a referral program for students seeking off-campus housing.
• GW Housing Programs will begin collecting interest for the Hall on Virginia Avenue (HOVA) and the Columbia Plaza Housing Program for the Spring 2009 semester beginning November 3, 2008.  There is currently no availability in The Aston for the 2008-2009 academic year. Students interested in learning more about graduate housing should visit the residence hall section of this website under Graduate Housing.
