Housing Assignment Information

GW’s campus housing experience is second to none, contributing to overall student success, permitting greater opportunities for campus involvement, and offering safe and convenient services to residents. The staff of GW Housing Programs welcomes the opportunity to have your student in residence.

GW Housing Programs manages all stages of the assignment process for on-campus housing for both undergraduate and graduate students during the academic year and during the summer.

Academic Year

Students can apply for housing, view application status, and view roommate information by visiting the GW Housing Programs Web Portal In order to access the portal, students need to use their NetID (your GWMail address without the @gwu.edu). If you do not already have a NetID, you may create one at http://helpdesk.gwu.edu/

Graduate Housing

• New and current GW students interested in residing in the Hall on Virginia Avenue for the upcoming 2008-2009 academic year should submit their request via the online HOVA Graduate Housing Interest Form. 
• Current residents interested in renewing their housing license agreements will reapply March 31-April 11th.  Click here for details.
  Students interested in participating in the Columbia Plaza Housing Program for the 2008-2009 Academic Year are invited to submit their request via the Columbia Plaza Housing Program Interest Form.
• Students interested in learning more about graduate housing should visit the residence hall section of this website under the graduate housing flyout.
