Lock Outs

In the event a resident is locked out of a room, there are two re-entry service options available:

Loaner Keys:

A loaner key may be checked out from the New Hall or Somers Key Depot between 8:30am – 11pm, 7 days a week.

There is no cost for a loaner key if it is returned within 24 hours. Failure to return the key within 24 hours will initiate a lock change at a cost of $80 to the resident.

Let-In Service:

Call the RPM Call Center at (202) 994-0381. A Key Depot staff member will meet the resident at the room to provide access between the hours of 8:30am and 11pm. Between 11pm and 8:30am a University Police officer will meet the resident at the room to provide access.

There is a cost of $20 for the Let-in Service during Key Depot hours. There is no charge for UPD let-ins. (This fee is waived for residents with disabilities that prevent them from coming to the Key Depot.)
