Green Move-Out Volunteers
Go green and commit to sustainable practices by volunteering with Green Move-Out. This initiative makes the residence hall move-out process more environmentally, and community-friendly through a multifaceted donation drive. Green Move-Out is only made possible through the support of student and staff volunteers. Volunteers will assist in bagging the items that are donated so that they can be donated to our local charity partners.
Green Move-Out volunteers must complete a minimum of four shifts, two morning shifts (9AM-12PM) and two afternoon shifts (1PM-4PM) starting on May 10th through Friday May 19th. The Green Move-Out Volunteer Application will open from April 12th 2017 to May 5th 2017 through GW Housing e-Services. Volunteers who complete at least one shift on or after May 17th will be granted extended stay housing through May 22, 2017 at noon.
This initiative is only possible due to the support of our volunteers. Students who have signed up for shifts and who do not show up or cancel their shifts appropriately will be charged a $150 fee per missed shift.
