Fall 2020 Move-Out

GW is providing limited on-campus housing to full-time undergraduate students for the spring 2021 semester. As announced previously, the move-in dates for the spring 2021 semester will be staggered as the university continues to follow public health guidance to support the health and safety of our community.

Fall Residents Returning to Campus for Spring 2021

  • Residents living on campus during the fall 2020 semester are able to start moving in starting on Sat. Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.
  • All students residing on campus this spring will need to complete "Living On Campus 101," an online module that highlights what students can expect while on campus, including COVID testing procedures, community expectations, and opportunities to engage in the community. Students will not have access to the residence halls until this module is complete. Students with a confirmed housing assignment will receive an email with instructions by early January with information on how to complete this module.
  • As we continue to the follow the university and the District's health and safety measures in response to the ongoing pandemic, we are not able to accommodate any requests to move in earlier than Jan. 9. However, if an emergency arises such as a cancelled/rearranged flight or impactful weather, we may be able to assist with emergency housing on a case by case basis. Please contact the CLRE Staff Member on call via 202-294-1066 to discuss your situation.
  • When you return to campus in January you will be required to quarantine until cleared by the Campus COVID Support Team, Also, please make an appointment for your mandatory COVID test at the campus testing center for the next business day after you return.
  • Student athletes -- you will receive information directly from Athletics or your coach about your return dates.

New Spring 2021 Residents

  • New resident students moving in for the spring 2021 semester may select their move in time slot between Tuesday, Dec, 8 at 10 a.m. EST until Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 5 p.m. EST. Students with a confirmed room assignment will receive an email with instructions on how to reserve their timeslot.
