Resources for Graduate Students Living On Campus

Listed below are a number of GW campus resources that graduate students living on campus may find useful.

GW Housing, 202-994-2552 or gwhouse@gwu.edu: Manages housing assignments, billing for housing, room changes

GW Facilities Services, 202-994-6700 or gwpm@gwu.edu: Oversees the maintenance and repairs for all on campus facilities, including residence halls. Students with maintenance concerns should submit a Fix It request, or if it is an emergency call 202-994-6111, option 2.

Division of Information Technology, 202-994-4948 (Help Desk): Maintain the wired and wireless networks in the residence halls as well as assist with problems with cable television.

Laundry services in the Graduate residence halls are managed by a third party, Caldwell & Gregory. If you experience problems with the laundry machines, please contact Caldwell & Gregory at (800) 927-9274.

Center for Student Engagement, 202-994-6555 or engage@gwu.edu: Provides students with information about resources at GW & in the DC metropolitan area, advocates for graduate students

The Office of Health & Safety, 202-994-4347 or safety@gwu.edu: Perform Health & Safety Inspections and Fire Drills in all residence halls.

Mail & Package Services, 202-994-6725, gwmailsv@gwu.edu: Responsible for distribution of the mail to residence halls. Students are able to pick up packages that do not fit into their mailbox at the Mail & Package Services office.

Student Accounts Office, 202-994-7350 or sao@gwu.edu: All housing charges are placed on your student account and payment is made to the Student Accounts Office.

GW Housing works closely with Property Management, Campus Support Services, and the Law School Dean of Students office in the management of the residence halls and residence hall services. Property Management oversees the maintenance of the residence halls while Campus Support Services is responsible for the Laundry and Mail & Package Services contracts GW. Laundry and Mail & Package Services are managed by third-party vendors. The GW Law School Dean of Students office assists students with a variety of issues that may arise during their time as GW Law students.
