Position Specific Summary: The CLRE Operations Assistant will serve as a student staff member on the Campus Living and Residential Education (CLRE) team.  We strive to foster inclusive residential environments where students have opportunities to grow and develop into leaders, value civility and respect, and thrive as members of the GW community.  The CLRE Operations Assistant will support our residential communities at the front desk of our residential buildings, providing building guidance, checking in/out supplies and blue carts, and following up on facilities tickets.  They will also support building operations through conducting room checks and building walks to ensure spaces are ready for student use.  The CLRE Operations Assistant will be supervised by the CLRE professional staff of an assigned building or neighborhood. 

Standard Position Description: 

  • The student will be the first point of contact for residents and  visitors to provide customer service support. 
  • Tasks may include: greeting residents; responding to in-person, phone, and email inquiries; providing customer service to residents; directing inquiries to the appropriate resources as needed; checking residential spaces to ensure ready for student use; and assisting with other office tasks.
  • Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.

Required Qualifications: This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.
