Position Specific Summary: The CLRE Communications Assistant  will serve as student staff member on the Campus Living and Residential Education team. The department of Campus Living and Residential Education houses the on campus student population in which living and learning take place on a daily basis. We strive to foster inclusive residential environments where students have opportunities to grow and develop into leaders, value civility and respect, and thrive as members of the GW community. Learning happens in various ways in the residence halls, including passively. The Communications Assistant will work to develop content for passive information sharing and learning via bulletin boards and digital signage in the residence halls.

Standard Position Description: 

  • The student will provide basic support for bulletin board content in the residence halls 
  • Tasks may include: creating, posting and updating bulletin boards on a rotating cycle;  creating written/ digital communications/signage within residence halls 
  • Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental/faculty needs.

Required Qualifications:  This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications: Basic familiarity with Microsoft programs and office equipment, ability to use content creation software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
