Position Specific Summary: The CLRE Programming Assistant will serve as student staff member on the Campus Living and Residential Education (CLRE) team.  We strive to foster inclusive residential environments where students have opportunities to grow and develop into leaders, value civility and respect, and thrive as members of the GW community.  The CLRE Programming Assistant will facilitate community building and programming for residential students. This will include assisting with planning, providing logistical support, and accompanying students to campus events.  Some examples of events the CLRE Programming Assistant may support include social programs, educational workshops, wellness activities, and athletic events. The CLRE Programming Assistant will be supervised by the CLRE professional staff of an assigned building or neighborhood. 

Standard Position Description: 

  • The student will serve as a facilitator for community building and programming for residential students.
  • Tasks may include: providing logistical support at events for outside presenters, accompanying students to campus events, supporting any special events from Admissions. 
  • Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific needs of CLRE.

Required Qualifications: This is an entry level position, little to no experience required, all training will be provided. 

Preferred Qualifications: Basic familiarity with Microsoft programs, event planning experience, detail oriented, strong cross-cultural and communication skills, ability to multitask, willing to learn.
